Toothless was our first entry in the IMechE UAS Challenge. Eight vertical motors handled take-off and landing, while a ninth motor drove the aircraft forward.
Achievements
The design presentation placed third. A crash ended the flight campaign early, and Toothless finished 19th out of 32 teams overall.

Mission
Toothless tested the idea that still shapes our aircraft today: take off in a small area, transition to efficient fixed-wing flight, and carry an aid payload without relying on a runway.
