Team Manager

As team manager you are head responsible for the team. You are good at keeping an overview and speaking in front of the press. You work closely with the other managers and support everyone in the team to make sure we accomplish our goals.

The technical manager oversees the technical subteams and makes sure we deliver a working drone at the end of the year. By keeping track of all parts and deadlines you make sure the drone gets built and wins prizes as a result.

As an external & financial manager you’ll sustain and grow sponsor relationships, manage budgets, assess financial risks and approve teams expenses. You’ll collaborate with other managers to ensure budgets are complied with and team needs are met.

Show the world what the team is doing in the news, on social media and on the website. You make the graphic design and branding of our drone and the DroneTeam. You also organize our events such as the drone reveal, PR stunts, the UAS Challenge and more!

As a graphic designer, you are responsible for creating visuals that represent our team. You are skilled in design tools and have a creative eye for detail. You work closely with other team members to ensure our branding is consistent and impactful across all platforms.

Chief of Airframe

As the leader of the Airframe subteam, you ensure the delivery of a robust, lightweight, and thoroughly tested airframe. You oversee all aspects of design, testing and meeting deadlines. Working alongside other chiefs and the Technical Manager, you help develop the drone’s structural framework.

As the head of the Aerodynamics subteam, you are responsible for delivering optimal airfoil designs and conducting accurate CFD simulations. You ensure your team provides the best aerodynamic shell, collaborating with other subteams to create a cohesive and efficient drone design.

You lead the Electronics and Software subteam, responsible for designing efficient drone electronics. This includes programming the flight controller to ensure sensors, motors, and control surfaces work together seamlessly to keep the drone flying.

You are responsible for ensuring that the designs from the Airframe and Aerodynamics teams are compatible with 3D printing. This involves selecting appropriate materials and creating optimal profiles for each print. Your expertise in 3D printing is critical to this role.
ApplyAirframe Engineer

It’s your responsibility to design a lightweight internal frame of the drone and to make sure it can handle the loads it’s subjected to. You will design the mounts, select the materials, and test the frame to see if it can withstand all forces during flight.
ApplyAerodynamics Engineer

The aerodynamics subteam determines the optimal wing design by doing CFD simulations and wind tunnel testing. This team is responsible for an optimal outer shape of the drone to ensure enough lift with as little drag as possible on the aircraft.
ApplySoftware Engineer

The software team ensures that the drone can fly autonomously and recognize its ground target with a limited amount of processing power. The result is that the drone drops the aid package at the right location without human intervention.

You are responsible for designing and delivering DronoBox workshops, which introduce students and companies to the world of drones. Each year, we aim to improve the workshop by developing safer and more user-friendly designs.
